I have unfortunately lost my job after 17 years and it has been a major trauma as I am sure you can imagine. I will need to focus my energies on making sure my family and our home are taken care of and to that end will not be posting here at PP&P for a time.
I apologize to all the wonderful writers who have become my friends and who have shared so beautifully with the all the amazing photographs and art here. I do hope soon I will be in a position to refocus and resume this site and the joy that it has brought to my life.
But for now, it is with regret, that I will not be posting.
Laura Jayne

I'm sorry to hear about your problems. I hope things will work out for you and I wish you lots of strenght.
I'm sure this is a scary time for you. I hope it is short-lived.
Thank you so much for the time you spent on this blog, encouraging and inspiring. I look forward to seeing you back here in the future.
Take care, get the important stuff back on track, and we'll be here waiting when you're ready to join us again.
I think Dani has a great idea and I'll also try to browse the archive when I'm in need of picture inspiration. So many great pictures that I didn't have time to write for.
Best of luck, I'm sure everything will work out for the best. I hope you end up with a better job than the one taken away from you.
Marc
LauraJayne,
Best of luck in navigating these unwelcomed waters.
"And you shall hear a voice behind you saying, 'This is the way, walk ye in it.'"
Thank you for the community you helped foster at PP&P. Most of those I follow and who follow me, I met on PP&P.
Hope to see you back some time in the future.

Thanks for a wonderful blog. It was here that I posted something to a blog that wasn't my own. I made a few blogger friends through Pictures, Poetry and Prose. Thank you Laura Jayne. Hopefully this situation will be short lived, I'll keep you in my thoughts ans prayers.
I am sorry to hear that and pray that things will get better soon. I have enjoyed this site tremendously and its beautiful, inspiring pictures. I will miss it. But I am hoping you will return, please let us know when you do. All the best to you, you will not be forgotten, it is just a temporary "goodbye". God Bless.
Thanks Laura for your daily inspirations - I'll miss you! I wish the best for you and yours. I'll be waiting right here when you come back.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers Laura. I've been where you are - I lost my job of 19 years. This was 4 years ago. The road has been rough. The road has been long. But you will come out the other side. Concentrate on your family and friends - find strength inside yourself.
Laura Jayne,
Things happen for the good sometimes, and I think you will be visited by a most serendipitous event. You have my sympathy, hope, and support--if I can help in any way, please let me know. Even if it is just to give you a psychological jolt to help you cope, resist depression, and keep your spirits high. You certainly are missed already and I for one would volunteer to help keep this site going.
Beat The System!!!

We've been in the same place for five months, dear one. Take your time and see to what matters. Best wishes.
You and this site will be missed. Browsing the archives is a great idea. Best of luck, and I hope you find a job and can come back soon!

My heart aches for you, Laura Jayne. But I know you are tough and you will come through this even better than before.
Before I even read Dani's post, I thought the exact same thing. I, too, will browse through the archives and continue to use PPP as my muse.
As you can see from the comments, we are all going to miss you dearly. Please come back when you are ready ... we'll all be waiting with open arms.
Take care. You have been a community builder. We share the sadness of your departure but we'll also celebrate heartily when you return.
Laura Jayne...Even though I am feeling your loss with you, I am also believing and feeling that there are much better days to come for you, in your career ahead. Believe it, girl...believe it. AND allow yourself some of this time to recover areas of yourself that may have been set aside.
I'll be praying for you, on the inside you, to keep your chin up - heart filled with encouragement and the support that you need at every turn.
Love to you.
Oh, you poor girl, how dreadful for you. Take care of you and yours, and take comfort from all your friends here.
With a site like this to include in your CV, there must be many employers who will realise your talents, and welcome you into their fold.
Look forward to seeing you back on your feet.
Much love
Christine :)
