The Ringling Brother's Zing Zang Zoom Circus came to my town recently, and I secrectly wanted to go. 10 years ago my parents took us to the circus for my sixth birthday. I'm 16 today, and even though I'm learning to driving instead of learning to ride a bike and prefer Brad Pitt over Barney, I miss the circus! I still wear the T shirt that was like a dress on me that day. I can't wait for the day 10 (or maybe 20) years from now when I get to take my kids to the circus!
One week after the photo or picture is posted I will pick one offering to put beneath the image. This is a way of celebrating exceptional creativity. Any and all posts are available for your creative mind to make an offering at any time (even ones where a writing has been placed on the front page like this one). If you are new here and want to offer to every image here, feel free. We are writers, WRITE! If this is your exceptional writing posted here on the Front Page Pictures, Poetry & Prose invites you to include the Exceptional Writing Award Button on your blog. Visit the Exceptional Writing Award post for the details and the button to download.

ZORRO
She carefully prepared her usual tuna sandwich each Thursday night. Her legs had that familiar ache as she stretched out on a second hand couch. Ten lonely years, she watched the other nurses find love and move on to married life. She had her share of predictable, ordinary relationships. She didn't even know what she was looking for in a "soul mate" anymore. As she takes another bite of her sandwich, she leans over to grab the remote. Surfing through the channels, she happens upon an old film about the dashing Zorro. As she watches him save the damsel in distress, she sighs as she thinks, "Maybe I need a man with a mask and cape? Where' my Zorro?" She thinks that maybe this quest for Zorro would be a good blog post for Friday.
LAZY SUNDAZES
LaZy SundaZes
Spent soaking up the sun's raZ
Never ZaZZy or Zappy
Just a Zingaro in the wind
Guarding the entranZes
To the Zinnober pastures
Worn and graying
My own little Zonelet
Zounds! Zat's Marvelouz!
Zephaniah Shares
Zephaniah was a funny man
Always hearing words within
Not knowing what to do with them
He’d turn himself from sin
Afraid to tell anyone about
These things he felt he knew
That no one would ever understand
But they stuck to him like glue
One day Zephaniah spoke aloud
The words that consumed him so
And everyone in all the land
Listened with hearts of woe
They understood that these were true
The words Zephaniah shared
Messages from God, they said
Warnings of great care
Pay attention to these words
The words of Zephaniah
For he is no longer just a man
But Prophet, raised to tell ya
The history of Word for Word
Will surprise the nations vast
All the people will understand
Truth written from the past
“At that time I will gather you;
at that time I will bring you home.
I will give you honor and praise
among all the peoples of the earth
when I restore your fortunes
before your very eyes,”
says The Lord. ~ Zephaniah 3:20
