flutter flutter flutter
butterfly in my butter

butter butter butter
the butterfly balances on my butter

unaware that i wanted it to spread
on my toast.

i do not shoo it away, for it
is not a nuisance.

wings like marmalade spread thin
embrace the sides of my butter dish
the mural on its wings is
appealing to the eyes as
the butter melts beneath them.

i sigh
and lower my knife.

Butterflies
almost too bright to be real.
Butterflies
colorful as cartoons.
Butterflies
I'd believe they were computer generated
if one hadn't just landed on my arm.

Jewels fluttering through the air,
So thick and warm it was almost solid.

Jewels landing on cut fruit,
Savouring the moist nectar,
Energy giving stations.

Long proboscis probing everything,
Testing it for worthiness.

Jewels the size of my hand,
Settling on child's shoulder,
Generating sparkling eyes.

Wonderment that lasted.
The Butterly House:
A casket of jewels.

Delight in her eyes,
a slip of a girl,
skipping through green,
following the flight,
a delicate beauty flutters,
as a knowing glance,
points to butterfly dance.

Colors float around me
Lightly flutter in the air
Wings, each different
Unique in their own flair

Bright and cheerful
They smile in glee
In gentle happiness
They comfort me

They whisper to me
From all around
A pleasant dream
I have now found
