Don't try to fill yourself up with too much of what's around you. You'll find you start to sink. Be true to yourself and who you are inside already. Do that, and you'll float along through life with no problems.

Great advice everyone. ~ Laura Jayne

One week after the photo or picture is posted I will pick one offering to put beneath the image. This is a way of celebrating exceptional creativity. Any and all posts are available for your creative mind to make an offering at any time (even ones where a writing has been placed on the front page like this one). If you are new here and want to offer to every image here, feel free. We are writers, WRITE! If this is your exceptional writing posted here on the Front Page Pictures, Poetry & Prose invites you to include the Exceptional Writing Award Button on your blog. Visit the Exceptional Writing Award post for the details and the button to download.

What you have to realise, son, is that when the humans come in, it's our job to keep absolutely still.

You have to let them turn you upside down, or spin you round til you're dizzy. They'll hold you under the water 'til you think your lungs will burst, just to let go of you so you pop up and make them laugh.

They'll put bubbles on your head, and make believe it's hair, like they have. They stuck this hat on me quite some time ago - I mean, a duck in a hat, how silly can you get.

But, as I said, it's our job to keep still, and just let them play. Their parents believe they can learn through play.

Well, John's in his thirties now, you'd think he'd have learned enough from us by now, but no, he still needs us to keep him company.

Watch out, here he comes!

Wear a hat and you'll get more respect in the tub :)

Son, don't let YOUR wife buy you a silly hat like this. It's hard to be taken seriously as a rubber duck if you're wearing ridiculous headgear.

Steer clear of the drain, avoid scented bubble bath, pretend you like being squeezed, and if you do all that, one day you'll grow a boat of your own.
