I'm feeling bold today
so I wore my red dress.
Feeling so bold today-
not at all the usual mess.
I'm feeling bold today
so I painted my lips.
Feeling so bold today-
I could swing my hips.
I'm feeling bold today
so I wore a red brimmed hat.
Feeling so bold today-
alone and unguarded I sat.
I'm feeling bold today
so I stood out for all to see.
Feeling so bold today-
today I showed everyone me.

Tip the hat just so -- it hides my eyes that way. I was crying again last night. He came home drunk again. He didn't hurt me -- not this time. But he isn't the sweet boy I married, nor even the man I know he could be.
We can't go on this way. I don't know what to do, but we can't go on.
Time to go out -- there's a party at the Kildersons. I simply must go -- it's the event of the year and I am expected. Check the mirror one last time. Flirty dress, hat just so. I will be a sensation. I think I can face anything with pretty clothes on.
In the big city
Fast commotion
You may see me
Start to blend in to it all
But dont worry
I have my place
With the lights in the skyline
Don't miss me
I am infinite tonight.
I am red
pepper
cinnamon
crimson tide
lava
bright marker
favorite crayon
war.
I am red
Are you ready?

He always told me red didn't suit me. Forbade me to wear it. He didn't want a scarlet woman. In reality, it would have accentuated my swollen, puffed eyes.
Now that I've broken free, I can wear what I like.
The crimson lends colour to my cheeks. My eyes are sparkling secret sapphires, shaded by the jaunty brim atop my auburn waves.
The fabric clings and falls, my figure now proudly defined, not shrouded as before, in those dead years.
I'm a red-blooded woman, a rose about to bloom. A thornless beauty for you to cultivate and cherish.
I am me.
