She was the most daring girl he had ever met.

"She has to be the most daring girl I've ever met," he thought to himself. His gaze travelled over her face. Her pouty lips were quivering with the hint of a smile. Almond shaped eyes sparkled with excitement and ... was that fear? Probably. If he was in her shoes, he'd be scared too.

What did she see in him, anyway? He was from the wrong side of the tracks. Everyone knew it. Her folks told her he was no good. Forbade her to see him, in fact.

Oh, he tried to make her see he was the wrong guy. Broke it off many times. Didn't call, didn't write. But she still came back. Caressing his face with her soft, delicate hand. Smiling at him, then gently kissing him. He could feel those soft lips, even now.

She believed in him. He wasn't sure she was right, but she never gave up on him. Not once. That meant something, didn't it? She believed in him and she made him believe in himself. God help him, he was head over heals in love with this woman. And by the look in her eyes right now, he knew she felt the same way. "You must be crazy," he muttered. "Probably," she whispered back, with a wink.

He held out his hand and she gently took it. Their fingers laced together in a familiar bond. His lopsided grin made her smile as they heard "We are gathered here today ..."

She was the most daring girl he had ever met in his entire life. He enjoyed her energy and needed to be as close as possible. He knew he couldn't make her his wife...she said that would stifle her mere existence. So, for that moment in his life he enjoyed the moment with the most daring girl he ever met.

"You have to do something!" she shouted. The room hushed.
She was the most daring girl he had ever met. No one spoke to him like that, with their chin stuck out and their arms folded defiantly. She would have stood like that forever, but the courtiers were muttering and the Prince had to do something.
He stepped off the throne's pedestal and walked up to the girl, holding back his gaurds with a motion.
He took the beautiful, unruly chin his his hand and brought her face close to his, "What do you want me to do?" He murmered. She faultered so slightly only he could see. What he saw was a scared little girl, facing up the monsters.
"I want you to end it." she wispered. He released her, but still close he said, "You'll have to help me." She barely nodded.
The Prince returned to the throne. "Ganter," he said to his advisor, "What do you think about ending this war?"

Always ready for a challenge, she was the most daring girl he had ever met. Constant adrenalin must run through her veins. He never knew what to expect from one date to the next. Suggestions of sky diving, snorkeling, hot coal walking all could come up in one of their date planning sessions. Something about her fearlessness made him shelve his conservative ways. She liked to call him her "hidden maverick". Tired of boring one night stands, he enjoyed daring himself to explore his adventurous side with such a willing companion.

She was the most daring girl that he’d ever met, is what he was thinking as he watched her soar through the skies on that plane. Wondering to himself where this type of courage comes from; he sat in awe of her accomplishments.

Now, she’s done it all; was what he thought when she stepped foot on the ground again. She runs up to him and pulls his hands….”Common, it’s your turn.” “No, honey, it’s not my turn. I cannot possibly find that type of courage in me”, he tells her.

As they ride home, she looks at him and smiles. “Daddy,” she says, “You do have that kind of courage. You raised me, without a mother and just look at all of the things I’ve put your through. You might not be able to soar in the sky on an airplane, but, Daddy, you’ve soared through the years on the ride of a lifetime.”

With tears in his eyes, he looked back at her and simply said…”I love you, Faith.”
