Lean me against a pyramid,
so I can feel time's stamp.
Wipe my brow worn from steps,
as I ponder on ages of fatigue.
Cradle me in warm arms,
so I can revel in this sight.

One week after the photo or picture is posted I will pick one offering to put beneath the image. This is a way of celebrating exceptional creativity. Any and all posts are available for your creative mind to make an offering at any time (even ones where a writing has been placed on the front page like this one). If you are new here and want to offer to every image here, feel free. We are writers, WRITE! If this is your exceptional writing posted here on the Front Page Pictures, Poetry & Prose invites you to include the Exceptional Writing Award Button on your blog. Visit the Exceptional Writing Award post for the details and the button to download.

From the belt of the Constellation Orion, the alignment was duplicated here by aliens--

Perhaps we are just colonists from another world after all, travelers
stranded here trying to let others of our kind know where we came from.

After all, isn't that why we carve initials into trees, paint on rocks, and build monuments? To send a message?

Remember the plaque placed upon the moon by Armstrong and Aldrin?

Next: Mars, and beyond that...

My collection of the pyramids are exquisite. It started with my great-grandmother on a camel with the pyramids in the background and it has grown from there...friends have their picture. One day I will have mine there on the wall also.

Wow, Kathryn, what a gorgeous photo--perfect lighting, perfect time of day. Looks like a watercolor....

Congrats Septembermom. I really like this piece. Who knew pyramids could be so erotic?!
