Suggested prompt...
~
Offer them a poem to put to music.
Perhaps something about the moutains, or the magic of song,
or simply use the image creatively as you are inspired.

How quiet the mountains sit
like a hushed audience.
Their majesty bows down,
as the brotherhood
of musicians spiral
their song upward,
like a hawk searching
for heaven.

One week after the photo or picture is posted I will pick one offering to put beneath the image. This is a way of celebrating exceptional creativity. Any and all posts are available for your creative mind to make an offering at any time (even ones where a writing has been placed on the front page like this one). If you are new here and want to offer to every image here, feel free. We are writers, WRITE! If this is your exceptional writing posted here on the Front Page Pictures, Poetry & Prose invites you to include the Exceptional Writing Award Button on your blog. A trio of sound
The acoustic strums
A rhythm begins
The melody comes

An echo of joy
As voices blend
Worship begins
With love, it ends

I am checking back today to enjoy the poetry...I will leave poetry to the poets among us!

It's all illusion, you know. They are sitting on stools behind a cardboard cutout with a fake backdrop. But the song doesn't know that. The sound lifts up, catches a ride on the wind, whistles around rocks real and otherwise, rides waves, settles in the tune I hum, mud between my fingers, happiness in my heart.

Tell them of my younger years
before I was old and worn
Tell them of my wild days
before I knew your scorn

I want to live in words
and fly and sing
on the wings of a bird
I want to live
forever

Tell them of the time I almost died
Tell them of the time
I made my mother cry
Tell everyone you meet of all my wondrous feats
And never let them leave you wondering why

I want to live in words
and fly and sing
on the wings of a bird
I want to live
forever

I promise I'll never leave you
Tell me I can believe you
when you say
you'll never let me die

I want to live in words
and fly and sing
on the wings of a bird
I want to live
forever

I want to live

forever.

Thum pa pum
Pa pum pa pum

Its early morn
We caught the dawn
Let's sing in harmony

Thum pa pum
Pa pum pa pum

It's green yonder
Our sheep are happy
The birds they join the scene

Thum pa pum
Pa pum pa pum

Sign with me
O brothers thou
Let's shout our voices strong

Thum pa pum
Pa pum pa pum

Thum pa pum
Pa pum pa pum (louder)

Thum pa pum
Pa pum pa pum (loudest)

streee-streee, ta-pat-pat-pat

We are here
We are high
Sing out to you
This lullaby

Open your ears
Look down on thee
We have come, God
As brother's three

stree-stree, ta-pat-pat-pat

Do you know
Do you not hear
Oh God, we sing
Please do come near

For we have come
To worship You
We love you, God
Indeed, we do

stree-stree, ta-pat-pat-pat
